Designed to be embedded or mounted on surface of materials for strain monitoring. Two types of NIXUS Sensors are available: - NIXUS Sheath: The sensing zone is composed of an optical fibre with a specially designed composite sheath for monitoring of materials such as concrete. - NIXUS Tape: The sensing zone is composed of a naked optical fibre for monitoring of materials such as composite materials. Several cascaded sensing zones enable local measurements along a single the fibre.
