Purpose & use cases

FOGALE's blade monitoring systems are designed to detect, quantify, and track blade behavior in rotating machinery such as gas turbines, aero engines ... 

These solutions allow OEMs, integrators, service companies and operators to monitor:

  • Blade vibration amplitudes and resonances
  • Tip clearance evolution
  • Early signs of rubs, cracks, or structural fatigue
  • Rotor-to-casing alignment under thermal expansion

They are deployed in development testing, certification campaigns, and operational condition monitoring, enabling performance tuning and fault prediction in highly constrained environments.

 

Architecture & key components

Sensors

  • Capacitive sensors, from low to ultra-high temperature (-80 to +1400°C); various casing mount solutions and highly customizable design), including flexible or mineral cables for high temperature areas

 

Cabling (extension cable)

  • Fully triaxial, shielded, low-loss cables (custom lengths from 0.2 to 36m); Optional ATEX feedthroughs

 

Capacitive signal conditioning modules

  • Converts raw capacitance into analog/digital signals for clearance or amplitude tracking and ToA (time of arrival)
  • High frequency modules; compatible with triaxial or pseudo-triaxial sensors; modular with ultra-low noise measurement

 

Acquisition & processing units (including software for live and post-processing analysis)

  • Multi-channel synchronized acquisition with dedicated algorithms, compatible with both bench and embedded systems

 

Accessories

  • Automated calibration bench, gain calibration and configuration tool, synchronization box, signal regeneration system …
