The challenge
- Monitoring the rotation speed of components such as turbochargers, shafts, wheels or motors requires fast, accurate, and reliable sensing
- In aviation and automotive applications, speed sensing must work under high temperature, vibration and acceleration (dirt and carbon dust ….)
- Contact-based systems can’t match the required response time, resolution or reliability
- Signal conditioning and data extraction must be real-time and noise-immune to enable feedback or protection systems
