EXHIBITIONS
Held in Detroit from May 6 to 9, Automate 2025 welcomed nearly 40,000 visitors and over 800 exhibitors, confirming its status as North America’s premier event for robotics and industrial automation. Fogale Sensors stood out with an exceptional presence, receiving more than 110 qualified visitors across four days, representing 81 organizations from 9 countries.
Reinventing Human-Robot Collaboration with SmartSkin
At the heart of attention was Fogale Sensors’ SmartSkin — a patented capacitive sensing system that enables robots to perceive and react to human presence dynamically and safely. Unlike traditional safety systems that simply stop the robot, SmartSkin allows it to replan its motion in real time, maintaining productivity while protecting operators.
This groundbreaking feature was praised by industry experts and visitors alike. One of the most striking testimonies came from Erik Nieves, CEO of Plus One Robotics, who posted:
“Coolest robot was downstairs in FOGALE Robotics booth… it replans the motion around you and keeps moving.”
Our live demonstration sparked strong interest from robotic manufacturers, automation integrators, industrial groups, and innovative startups alike. For many, it was described as “never seen before”, combining advanced perception, compact integration, and adaptability.
Beyond safety, SmartSkin also brings clear gains in cell footprint optimization, allowing customers to design tighter, safer workspaces, and improves throughput, avoiding costly interruptions or restarts.
Combined Strength with Texys Group: Sensing More, Smarter
As part of the Texys Group, Fogale Sensors now benefits from a complete ecosystem of complementary technologies. Many visitors explored our extended offering in:
The combined expertise of Fogale Sensors, Texense, Optel, and LGS Technologies enables us to deliver fully integrated solutions — from human interaction to high-speed process control.
Several new partnerships were initiated during the show, and we are currently following up with key actors in robotics, intralogistics, flexible manufacturing, and smart safety.
Looking Ahead
Following the outstanding success of Automate 2025, we are already planning our participation in Automate 2026. The future of human-robot interaction is touchless, intuitive, and intelligent — and we are proud to be driving it forward.
